- How does the UPI payment QR work?
- It encodes a standard upi:// link with your UPI ID, name and the invoice amount. Any UPI app (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.) can scan it and pre-fill the payment.
- Is this the same as the e-invoice (IRN) QR code?
- No. The IRP-signed QR with an Invoice Reference Number is generated by the government e-invoice portal for businesses over the e-invoicing threshold. This tool creates payment and details QR codes for regular invoices.
